Yesterday I was taken to Berwick on a walk around the Town Walls. The walls were to protect the town from invaders so I kept an eagle eye out for them through the gaps.
Unfortunately, being rather short, my view wasn't good so P lifted me up onto one of the canons so that I could see. Not one of her better ideas, I didn't like it at all so was very quickly lifted down.

Today we are off to Scout Camp at Keilder, as I am troupe mascot I feel it is my duty to turn out for such important events. What a busy weekend.

I have two new friends, horses have come to live in the field at the bottom of the garden. They are very large but I have got used to them now and they come down to chat to me most evenings. I like friends.

Some really interesting things happen in my village, not so long ago I went to a Mad Hatter's Tea Party with the Scouts, it was great. I went as The King of Hearts and if I do say so myself I looked rather good.

Yesterday was the school Summer Fair and a big red bus came full of singing children. When they went into school to sing I took advantage of the bus to sit in the shade.

This is Hazel, the new kitten in Surrey. She looks rather sweet, I wonder if she'll like me????

AN EVEN LONGER GAP???

P definitely gets worse but she has promised that from now on she will keep my post up to date. I am my normal happy healthy self and life in a small village goes on much as normal. Kim's house is now full of animals but I don't feel able to share my kingdom with anyone else.
It must be like living in a zoo down in Surrey and I hear there is a new kitten now called Hazel, I'll put her photo up next time.
I was taken on a trip to Holy Island when Kim came to stay and I was very very cold and almost blew away!
Christmas morning, I got a lovely fur pillow to sleep on. I don't think P did well choosing the colour because you can hardly see me.
P finally got her degree last year with the Open University and she said I had been such a help to her that I should have my own cap and gown. I did deserve it of course, you have NO idea how many essays I had to listen to.
I will be back in a few days to share some stories. xx

I'M BACK

I am sorry that there has been such a long gap between posts.....but it is NOT my fault!! It can be very difficult when a dog has to rely on staff. Admittedly things have been a bit difficult, P's Open University course took up way more time than expected which meant some of MY very modest needs were neglected!!??!! Then she was unwell for a while, I even had to move out of my home while she was in hospital! thank goodness for Audrey who looked after me so well. Never mind, things are back to normal now and I had my fifth birthday this week. I had cards, gifts and goodies, including a strange rubber monkey who made strange noises and threw his arms in the air and stuck his tongue out if his tummy was pressed. I managed to cope with this by ignoring it but it was SOOOOO much harder to ignore Clive when he did his frighteningly lifelike imitation of said monkey. Still, a good time was had by all, yay, happy birthday ME!!

Oh gloom!! P has started another Open University course!!! We have had such a good summer with a great deal of me,me,me time that I thought that was all done but no, more books  arrived. It isn't just the time she spends at the computer and reading books though that is time that could be spent in much more productive ways....like pandering to me!!! She reads things to me!!!**!! long, uninteresting essays, things she has written that have no place or interest in the world of a superior dog. I can quite understand that she can hear the mistakes by reading out loud...believe me gentle reader so can I, but I wish to talk about me. I did however try to help this time by having a look at the books myself so that I could give a few pointers but I have to tell you....I do not understand Doctor Faustus???!!!***
